In an area of 58 hectares in south of Tehran, Velayat Park is a new neighbor to Municipal Districts 16, 17 & 19.
Tehran Parks & Green Space Organization and Tehran Engineering & Civil Organization are, respectively, the client and MC of the project.
Five construction contractors and three landscape contractors all approved by Tehran Municipality carried out the construction of the project buildings and the landscape works. Design and construction works of the 58-hectare project took only two months; it means a fast track construction of 1 hectare park per day which is in a way a unique example among similar construction projects in Iran.
It was Atec Consultants’ reputation for competency and quality that saw it selected by Tehran Municipality to render consultancy services of this fast track project in the most critical time of the year, i.e. second half of Esfand 1389 ( March 2011) only two weeks until the incoming Iranian New Year holidays.
Diverse functions of the park required a broad range of design work including landscape, pergolas, booths, parking zone, pavements, multi-purpose vehicular ring-road, water features, irrigation design, drinking water, toilets, prayer rooms, light towers, etc carried out through simultaneous performance of all disciplines in the Consultant’s office under supervision of a 25-member site supervision team.
A significant characteristic of the project is that about half of the project works were performed during the Iranian New Year holidays with Atec Consultants’ non-stop presence in all stages of design and supervision on night and day basis delivering more than 700 sheets of detailed design drawings duly approved by the Client.
Velayat Park project once more proved Atec’s competence handling challenging fast track construction projects.
