- The development of Qeshm Island’s International Airport as an EPCF project (design, implementation and financial support) is a contract between Qeshm Island’s Free Zone Organization and Pars Energy Development Co.. This project has 29 sub-projects including ILS, lighting systems, fire squad, hanger, administrative offices, ground handling equipment, catering and service offices, cargo terminal, cargo apron, passenger apron, hanger apron and etc.
One of the design ideas is the use of palm shaped columns inside the building which is one of the symbolic local elements. These columns help build a new and innovative look to attract tourists. The concentration of local and foreign passengers in one terminal, the ease of flow of the passengers and maintaining a lucid environment are among other factors considered in the design.
